What the Scan Tier and the Clean Tier include

When you finish, you know what PoppyDisk does for free, what the one-time purchase adds, and what the app looks like before you buy.

The Scan Tier, free

Everything that measures and explains your storage:

• Scanning Drives and folders, Pinned Folders, and Rescans. See Scan a Drive.
• Measuring Restricted areas with administrator access. See Measure Restricted areas.
• The Disk Map, the Tree view, search, sort, filters, and the Inspector. See Read the Disk Map.

The Clean Tier, bought once

The part that removes things from a real Drive:

• The Deletion Review. See Review before you delete.
• Recycle Bin Deletion and Permanent Deletion, and the Recovered Space report.

The Clean Tier is a one-time purchase of $9.99. There is no subscription and no PoppyDisk account; the License Key you receive is the whole of it. One key unlocks up to three PCs. See Buy the Clean Tier and unlock PoppyDisk.

The boundary is enforced in PoppyDisk's Rust core, not in the window, so nothing in the interface can delete on a real Drive without a valid key.

Before you unlock

Until PoppyDisk is unlocked:

• A Scan Tier chip sits in the title bar of the Drive Overview. It disappears once the Clean Tier is active.
• The Cleanup Basket still counts what you collect and totals its Size on Disk, but its list does not expand. Pressing it, or choosing Review, opens the Clean Tier wall.
• The wall is headed Unlock the Clean Tier. When the basket holds something, it shows the total that is sitting in your Cleanup Basket, ready to go, and a bar of its Risk composition, without listing any paths. It offers Buy once, I have a License Key, and Not now or Back to the map.

Nothing about scanning changes. PoppyDisk measures exactly the same before and after unlocking.

Demo Mode

Demo Mode is always unlocked, so the tour shows the Deletion Review and both deletions on its synthetic Drives without a key. It cannot show the state above.
